In Loving Memory of an Exceptional Companion: Boo Boo Bear, 2008-2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Boo Boo, a beloved beagle-mix who brought immeasurable joy, comfort, and unwavering companionship into Ansley’s life. Boo Boo left this world on July 19, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain.
In February 2009, Boo Boo entered Ansley’s world unexpectedly and with a burst of excitement!! Ansley neither anticipated nor was seeking a dog. She was a busy law student living in a dog-restricted building. Nevertheless, the first time they met when Boo Boo came bounding around the corner and leapt into Ansley’s lap, an immediate and profound connection blossomed. Boo Boo became not only a pet but a true soul companion, a source of strength during the challenges and celebrations of Ansley's legal career.
Boo Boo had a personality that was as unique as it was endearing. With a fondness for chasing sticks, swimming, running in the great outdoors, howling at ambulances, and destroying stuffed toys, she brought a vibrant energy and playful spirit to every moment. Yet, perhaps her most cherished moments were those spent in quiet closeness, nestled beside Ansley as they faced life's trials together. Her warmth and love were undeniable, and she had an uncanny ability to sense when comfort and support were needed the most.
Eventually, Boo Boo welcomed Ansley’s husband Richard and their son Vincent into the family. Boo Boo remained Ansley’s constant shadow. In the car, Boo Boo had her special spot – perched lovingly on Ansley's lap. At night, she found security in being close and slept under the covers, pressed up against her human.
Boo Boo's journey came to an end in July 2023, but the impact she made on Ansley's life remains ever-present. She witnessed the transformation from law student to seasoned lawyer, offering her silent encouragement through late nights of studying, challenging cases, and triumphant successes. Boo Boo became Chief Happiness Officer at Ansley’s firm, Carter Simpson, at its inception on April 1, 2018. With adeptness and unwavering allegiance, she executed her duties, even attending the office on her final day on this planet.
Boo Boo leaves behind a legacy of love and companionship that extends far beyond her years. She will forever be remembered for her boundless energy and love, her infectious joy, and the unconditional support she provided during times of both laughter and tears.
As we bid farewell to our cherished friend, let us remember Boo Boo with smiles and gratitude for the countless memories and lessons she shared. The loss of Boo Boo leaves a void that can never be filled, and Ansley will carry the ache of missing her for the rest of her life. May her spirit live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
